What We Collect

When you add an item photo, the image is sent to our server for AI-powered identification. Before upload, all photo metadata (including location, camera info, and timestamps) is automatically removed.

No personal information such as your name, email, or device identifier is collected or transmitted.

How Your Data Is Stored

All your boxes, items, and photos are stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account, accessible only to you.

Third-Party Services

Item photos are processed using OpenAI to generate names and descriptions. Only the stripped image is shared; no personal data accompanies the request.

Permissions

The app may request access to your camera and photo library to let you photograph or select images of items. These permissions are optional and the app works without them.

Analytics and Tracking

findfound does not include any advertising or cross-site tracking services. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that collects anonymous, aggregated page-view data without using cookies or tracking individual visitors.
